Three members of the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department recently completed the Firefighter 1 Course held by the Westchester County Dept. of Emergency Services. This course, now held in two parts (Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations and SCBA/Interior Firefighter Operations), involves comprehensive training to ensure that new firefighters are equipped to handle many different scenarios.
