On April 16th, 2019, the Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 held their monthly drill at the firehouse. The drill simulated a rescue of a victim who fell down an embankment and had to be removed using a low angle technique. Using the aerial as a pick point, a stokes basket was lowered to the victim by a rope and pulley system and the victim was raised to safety. The drill was led by Captain Brian Usher and members that participated were 1st Lt. Alex Myagyai, 2nd Lt. Chris Dosin, Ex-Captains Frank DeSouza and Jim Wassmann and 1st Assistant Chief Ron Paquette.

The Hook and Ladder hosts drills the 3rd Tuesday of each month. To learn more about joining, stop by the firehouse at 50 Main Street Tuesday evenings after 7 p.m.
