On Monday July 20th The Hastings Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle rollover with the driver entrapment on Circle Drive. Upon arrival responders found the vehicle was down an embankment resting on the roof (upside down) with the driver trapped inside. After stabilizing the vehicle the Jaws of Life hydraulic cutting and spreading tools were used to remove the passenger side door and open the Drivers door allowing better access to the driver. EMT's and Firefighters stabilized the and removed the driver who was transported by the HFD Ambulance Corps to a hospital. Our ALL VOLUNTEER Fire Department is trained and equipped to protect the residents in a wide range of emergency situations. The HFD thanks the following departments for assisting in the rescue.
