Our Rescue (R-100) carries specialized equipment that is used in a variety of situations such as hydraulic extrication tools, air bags, jacks, stabilization struts and cribbing, among many other tools. The current rescue is 43 years old and in the process of being replaced with a new upgraded vehicle. Members of the HFD trained on vehicle extrication using hydraulic tools (Jaws of Life) to cut up a car donated by a Hastings resident. Any one who wants to donate an old car can contact us through this web site or at the following email address firechief@hastingsgov.org
