Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department Responds To A Structure Fire

On Saturday afternoon December 11th the Hastings-on-Hudson (ALL VOLUNTEER) Fire Department responded to a a structure fire on Rosedale Ave. Upon arrival found a garage between two residential homes on fire with the potential of fire extending to the homes on either side. Because of the risk of extension a requests for a mutual aid assignment was transmitted and resources from the neighboring departments responded. The fire was knocked down quickly preventing damage to the homes on either side of the burning garage. Overhaul was conducted and a WCDES Cause and Origin team began an investigation into the cause of the fire. Due to the quick response of the Fire Department further property damage was prevented and the fire was extinguished with out injury.
