Election of Chief Officers

On April 4, 2023, the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department held its biennial election of chief officers. The following individuals were elected:

Chief of Department: Brian Schnibbe
1st Assistant Chief: Michael Gunther
2nd Assistant Chief: John Lindner
3rd Assistant Chief: Frank DeSouza

The department offered sincere thanks to outgoing Chief Ron Paquette, who will continue to serve as a deputy chief in the department. A number of gifts were presented to Chief Paquette by the companies and the Ambulance Corps.

The new chiefs were sworn into office by ex-Mayor Wm. Lee Kinnally. Also in attendance were department chaplains Rabbi Edward Schecter and Father Douglas Crawford, who offered the invocation and benediction, respectively.

A total of 80 department members participated in the election.

Congratulations on your ascent to the throne Brian - you were born to do this.

Great to see Frankie stepping up to Chiefdom - at alarms I’d always go “phew, Frankie’s here, everything is gonna be good”.

What a GREAT department!!
