On December 30th the Hastings on Hudson Volunteer Fire department responded to a call from a resident for smoke in the basement. Upon arrival smoke was observed coming from the rear of the building. Upon further investigation a small smoldering fire was found and quickly extinguished, with minimal damage to the building. We thank the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer FD for their assistance.
