On Wednesday, May 29th, the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department responded to a challenging structure fire. Luckily, the residents were out of the house at the time. All HFD fire companies and the HFD Ambulance Corps responded and began an interior attack. Multiple fire departments from surrounding communities responded as part of a mutual aid agreement, along with the Battalion 14 Coordinator, to assist extinguishing the fire and to cover the Village if there were any other calls. Due to the coordinated, quick and aggressive attack, the fire was brought under control and extinguished without any injuries. This is another example of your ALL-VOLUNTEER fire department ready and able to come to the aid of our residents. This demonstrates how all the hours our members put in training and planning pays off. We would like to thank the following fire departments and other agencies for their assistance:

Ardsley FD
Dobbs Ferry FD
Irvington FD
Elmsford FD
Valhalla Rehab Unit
WCDES Battalion Coordinator
WCDES Cause and Origin Team
Hastings-on-Hudson PD
Con Edison Gas & Electric

Great job by all. Miss being active in L22 but love hearing about a great stop.
