On Monday, June 3rd, members of the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department Ambulance responded to a request for mutual aid from Ardsley. They were being called to the scene of the shoot out at the Ardsley Acres Motel. The crew assembled and more than enough members responded without hesitation. HFD Ambulance responded to the staging area behind the Carvel on Saw Mill River Road. They stood by with five other ambulances from the surrounding Rivertowns. Hastings FD Ambulance 62-B1 along with both Ardsley EMS units were called into the scene once it was secured and thankfully there were no more patients to transport. The selfless dedication of our all Volunteer HFD Ambulance Corps should not be forgotten or taken for granted. The residents of Hastings are lucky to have such dedicated EMS personnel ready to respond and put their personal safety aside to come to our aid.
