Our own Lieutenant Cathy Gunther was honored by radio station New York Country 94.7 as part of their First Responder Friday series. Lieutenant Cathy Gunther was nominated by her son Thomas, who is also a member of the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department. Cathy joined the HFDVAC in January of 2014 and has been coming to the aid of our village citizens when they call for medical emergencies ever since. It is important to remember that the Hastings Fire Department Ambulance (HFDVAC) is an all-volunteer organization.

The Ambulance Corps. is always looking for new members who are residents of the village or people who work in village that want to help their neighbors and community. It is truly a gratifying experience when you come to the aid of someone in need and can help; the feeling is second to none.
