| The 139th annual inspection of the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department was held this past Friday, September 11, at the Riverview. The evening began with at 6:30 p.m. with a short memorial ceremony in honor of the victims of September 11th. The department chiefs then inspected the apparatus, equipment and personnel, along with Mayor Peter Swiderski & village officials, including neighboring chiefs who were in attendance. A dinner dance followed the official inspection.
Anne Brasino was also made an honorary member of Engine 45 & the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department during the evening's festivities. As you might recall, Anne was rescued by the members of Uniontown Hose Co. No. 2 during a structure fire in May 2014 at St. Andrews Golf Course. It was a pleasure to have Anne with us and have her as our "newest" member! |
